Overview

FormalWriter ("the App") is developed by Florin Radu. Your privacy is important to us. This policy explains what data the App collects, how it is used, and your rights.

Data We Collect

FormalWriter is designed with privacy in mind. We do not require you to create an account or provide any personal information to use the App.

Data we do NOT collect:

• Your name, email address, or contact information
• Your location or GPS data
• Your contacts, photos, or other personal files
• Your browsing history
• The content of letters you generate

On-Device Processing

All letter generation happens entirely on your device. The personal information you enter into letter templates (names, addresses, amounts, etc.) is processed locally and is never sent to any server. Your letters are never uploaded, stored externally, or shared with anyone.

In-App Purchases and RevenueCat

The App uses RevenueCat, a third-party service, to manage in-app purchases. When you make a purchase or restore a previous purchase, the following data is processed:

• Anonymous Identifier: A randomly generated anonymous ID is created to manage your purchase status. This ID is not linked to your name, email, or Apple ID.
• Purchase History: Records of in-app purchases are processed by RevenueCat to verify your premium status and enable purchase restoration across devices.
• Device Information: Basic device information (such as operating system version and device type) may be sent to RevenueCat to ensure compatibility and proper functionality.

This data is used solely for the purpose of managing your in-app purchase (App Functionality). It is not used for tracking, advertising, or analytics. For more information, see RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.

Apple App Store

In-app purchase transactions are processed by Apple. We do not have access to your payment information, Apple ID, or billing details. These transactions are subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.

Data Storage

Your premium purchase status, letter generation history, and saved sender information are stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. No personal data is stored on external servers by us.

Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party service:

• RevenueCat — for in-app purchase management. See their Privacy Policy.

The App does not use any analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or tracking services.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes. Data is only shared with RevenueCat as described above, solely for the purpose of managing in-app purchases.

Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. The App does not require any personal information from any user and is suitable for users of all ages.

Your Rights

Since we do not collect personal data that identifies you, there is generally no personal data for us to provide, modify, or delete. If you have concerns about the anonymous data processed by RevenueCat, you may contact us and we will assist you.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
